Post-Intubation Hypotension After Titrated Induction with Ciprofol versus Propofol in Older Adults Undergoing Non-Cardiac Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial
A randomized controlled trial in older adults undergoing non-cardiac surgery demonstrates that ciprofol-based titrated induction significantly reduces the incidence of post-intubation hypotension and norepinephrine requirement compared to propofol, though single-center limitations warrant cautious interpretation.

Neurofilament light chain dynamics following ischemic stroke and their modulation by transauricular vagus nerve stimulation
Prospective randomized open-label blinded-endpoint sham-controlled trial of 35 acute ischemic stroke patients demonstrating plasma neurofilament light chain (NfL) elevation over the first 5 days post-stroke, where higher NfL predicted worse 90-day functional outcomes. Trajectory modeling suggested transauricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) was associated with a less pronounced rise in NfL and significantly lower levels on Days 3 and 5 compared to sham, although treatment assignment was not significantly associated with overall NfL levels after regression adjustment.
Long-term Outcomes After a Randomized Phase II Trial of Nerve Growth Factor Eye Drops for Optic Pathway Gliomas: Four-Year Follow-up Findings in Children
A four-year observational follow-up of children previously enrolled in a phase II randomized trial of murine NGF eye drops found no significant changes in visual acuity, VEP amplitude, PhNR amplitude, or visual field radius from baseline. Brain MRI showed stable disease in all patients. The study concluded that short-term topical mNGF appears safe and well-tolerated with sustained stability, but not efficacy, and called for larger randomized trials to confirm clinical benefit.
